Our homeschool materials change from time to time. This year we have enjoyed the following books (and more which I failed to keep track of):
- Bible - We have our own quiet time devotional we work on at our own pace. In the evenings we, as a family, like to read a chapter of the bible together (each reading 2 verses at a time till complete) but this doesn't always happen. Some evenings I visit each girl, read them a verse or two, ask them their personal prayer requests, and pray with them. We also use Bright Lights materials.
- Math - Teaching Textbooks levels 4 & 7, Primary Grade Challenge Math (fun)
- Reading - Lamplighter books and many more
- Spelling - Spelling Power
- Cursive Writing - workbooks
- Writing - Currently the girls write for fun, without a curriculum for this subject.
- History - Presidents, various books
- Science - Christian Liberty Nature Readers and Apologia Series
- God's World News
- Budgeting - Real world math, budgeting
- Outside Classes - Art lessons, cooking class, cake decorating, business class, gymnastics, gym and swim lessons.
- Field Trips - Many places, just for fun!
- And lots of babysitting for neighbors and friends.
