Isaiah 25:1a O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things!
Lord you continue to amaze me! This year you chose to cut back on our income and strangely we have had MORE than in past years.
What the Lord has taught me this year -
When I think I 'need' something I will WAIT and pray.
This year I 'needed' several items for our school year. I said "Lord I know you will provide what we need. If you want us using what we have I will be content with that. If you want to provide in other ways I will wait." This was REALLY hard. I NEEDED curriculum.
I waited and waited. Ï did NOT tell anyone I was NEEDING anything! I really didn't. :)
Out of the blue a friend said I could use her writing program. This was a writing program I REALLY desired to buy for $100! I suppose the Lord knew that. :) A few days later a second friend offered me her My Father's World curriculum. It was the exact program I wanted to use this year! Lord you continue to amaze me!! This continued with Spanish, Grammar and Math.
God has blessed us over and over this year. I did have to sit back and have nothing for some time but after getting used to that feeling and realizing it was ok to feel 'lacking' at times it became comforting waiting on the Lord. I'm starting to think the Lord delights in surprising me.
I certainly haven't mastered this 'waiting' thing but I am seeing how much more fulfilled our family has been this year. Waiting on the Lord is an awesome place to be! Did I mention it's a tad 'scary' at times but a GOOD, GOOD place to be.
Lord you are delightful. I am amazed by your goodness!
