Psalm 118:29

I am back!  My computer is fixed.  When my computer was down I found I had PLENTY of time to care for my home, teach my children, love hubby and most importantly spend time with the Lord.  I am determined to keep things that way.  This will require discipline on my part....less computer time.

We had a blessed Christmas.  I bought everyone the same version of the bible as one of their gifts.  This has been the BEST thing!  We have been reading a chapter of the bible together each morning (just us girls) and again in the evening as a family.  I didn't know it would be so enjoyable but it is...when we are all reading from the same version, taking turns.  It helps everyone stay focused when following along in their own bible.

As you all know, as a I shared in my last post, I now own a pair of long johns.  ALL of my life I lived in OH and NEVER owned a pair.  These long johns are the best thing since sliced bread! :)  I (the indoor girl) have been enjoying daily walks in the snow storms, sledding and even snow shoeing in a blizzard.  I am staying so warm, enjoying the fresh air and the gift of snow!  I'm still trying to get my family out with me.  So far it seems the doggie and I are the only two enjoying the outdoors on cold days.

Today as I was walking, in the dark, on the snow covered roads, in a blizzard I couldn't help but thank the Lord for:
1) Feet to walk
2) Eyes to enjoy the beauty, see the glistening snow
3) Breath to smell the air, live
4) and Hands which allow me to bring my doggie along on walks

Psalm 118:29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love endures forever.
