Ecclesiastes 12:12

It is a fantastic day.  The sun is not out however the weather is "Spring Like" with birdies fluttering to and fro and "springish" warm breezes.

Ecclesiastes 12:12 Be careful, for writing books is endless, and much study wears you out.

I enjoyed starting my day in Ecclesiastes.  Ecc 12:12 talks about opinions and philosophies of others.  It really spoke to me, the "Queen" of reading different ways to home educate, ways to better accomplish chores, ways to be a better wife, ways to better organize a home and so on. 

Opinions about life & philosophies about how we should live could be read and studied forever.  It is not wrong to study these opinions, but because our life on earth is so short, we should make the best use of time by learning the important truths in God's Word which effect this life and eternity.

Reading and reading all of these books wear me down.  I get so many good ideas that I freeze and don't accomplish any of them because I can never decide which is best for my family.

Today God showed me that I need to put 'these' books down UNTIL I have first spent time in the Word.  After I have filled myself with the Word then I should sprinkle in little pieces of other readings.

I love it when God shows me something simple yet so EYE OPENING!

I have split pea soup cooking for dinner.  The kiddos are finishing their studies.  In a few hours I get to go to a friends for fellowship.  All in all a very good day!
